Seven Falls

Seven Falls is, not surprisingly, a (commercially-run) place where there are seven falls in succession. Amusing story: Underneath the stairway going up (see third photo), I saw a large pipe. At the top, it disappeared into the forest near the source of the falls. At the bottom, it entered the pond. Suspicious, I asked the guy at the gift shop. Sure enough, they cheat: when it is too dry to naturally supply the falls, they pump water up to the top. Sigh. I suppose they do have to run a business. Unfortunately they've marred the rock around the falls with garish lights. I'm not opposed to lighting the falls per se, if the lights are mounted on man-made structures, but I objected to drilling holes in the beautiful rock surrounding the falls for the sake of mounting large, intrusive lights (see seventh photo).
