Scenic Drive

After doing Royal Gorge Bridge, we had some time to kill, so we drove around some scenic highways. One highway was so high and narrow -- with no guardrails -- that there was no way I was going to go over the rather low speed limit. I hope people don't go up there drunk, 'cuz they won't make it!

Hiking Pike's Peak

On Thursday my Dad and I hiked Pike's Peak. Well, actually, we started on Barr Trail, around 6,000 ft, and hiked for an hour before turning around. Only a few photos on this trip.

Treasure

Stuff I bought, at unbelievable prices.
18 bucks for this beautiful eagle statue.
I saw this and though "Probably under $100." Asked the price, and she said, "Fifteen." I said, "Fifty?" "No, fifteen." Sold!
Close-up of the hilt.
malachite This is a specimen of malachite. Green is my favorite color so I had to have this ($26).
Cool sandstone coasters. Couldn't pass this up
Coyote claw and beaver tooth This is a genuine coyote's claw and beaver's tooth.
